1. Welcome
==========
Welcome to Duplex Term Translator, a desktop tool for making and using on-line translation glossaries for Win31, Win95 and NT. Duplex makes your own plain-text files perform as sophisticated cross-reference tools. It can hold up to 2000 plain-text translation glossaries ready for instant consultation. Select ANY glossary. Choose your source. Enter ANY search pattern, from a single character to a complete paragraph. Unleash Duplex's fast lookup capability and retrieve up to 60 source terms from the thousands that your glossary can contain. Select ANY of these matching terms and INSTANTLY consult each term's translation. Click a button (or strike a key), and the translation is copied to the clipboard ready to be pasted into ANY active document in ANY application, word processor, spreadsheet, database system or what-have-you. Whatever your task, Duplex is always on call from a discreet icon which you can drag-and-drop anywhere on your screen. Terms can be added or deleted on the fly, and you can even create new glossaries as you go. On-line help is available throughout. Duplex is a great tool for linguists, writers, librarians, lawyers, accountants, in fact anyone needing to hold, translate and transfer pieces of information tagged in two codes.
